Artifact Description
The artifact that I have chosen was given to me by a good friend of mine that I have known since the beginning of freshman year, his name is Rafie. It’s a baby blue bracelet that connects to a cross, and a circled peace sign. I feel like this specific artifact does not only mean a lot to me because it was given to me by a great friend of mine, but because it really symbolizes true friendship, trust, and some kind of love that doesn’t involve being in a relationship. It’s an overwhelmingly nice feeling to have someone from the opposite gender to have such a tight friendship with you, and to be able to look at that person as just your close friend, because it shows a bond and a connection that can not and possibly will not be broken no matter how tough things get with that individual. This artifact also means something girly and lady-type in my opinion, i’m the kind of girl who loves to wear jewelry on her body, and in the right places because I feel like it’s something beautiful and every woman should embrace herself by adding a tiny bit extra fabulous on herself. What this artifact says about my legacy is that I take friendship, trust, and care seriously. Back in the day, I was someone who didn’t care much about these things, but after a while of having this type of mindset, I became selfish and wasn’t acting wisely. After taking that meaning for granted and having a negative outcome from it, I opened my eyes to reality and to the true meaning of what those words mean, and I realized that trust and friendship are really important in my life. This artifact fits into my category because i’m in teamwork, culture and religion. This bracelet that was given to me, fits into teamwork because in order to have a bond, or a beautiful friendship increase or grow between two individuals there has to be teamwork from both parties to make it happen, because if one person is trying more than the other, the other technically doesn’t want the friendship as bad, and that just doesn’t seem fair for the other person. Actually it’s not fair. In order for any relationship to be successful and to strive, and to last, both people have to make it work in the correct way.
