My Way To Go
Some people think its just a book with ancient scripture that has nothing to do with our lives today. To me its the total opposite I need it to guide me through my obstacles. It’s my sword. It’s my shield. It’s my armor for my battle against the world. This book has changed my perspective on life, it makes me who I am. This is what I want to study and spread like a virus to everyone. I’m very passionate about it, it makes me want to go on top of the roof of my house and say “I LOVE JESUS, HE’S MY SAVIOR!”
Yes, it’s my bible. The one with different shades of pink. I got this bible from my parents recently if it was in my room under my soft colorful pillow. I’ve grown to love it and also to praise God. Ever since I’ve been a little girl I would have my ears wide open to the stories about God’s miracles, like when Moses opened the Red Sea or when Jesus healed a man with leprosy and the life he promised us after this and how he gave his only son to save us from our sins. Tik tak tik tak just typing this makes my heart jump out of my chest.
Before I was another person that didn’t listen because I thought that everything we have in this life stays with me. Then my life flipped upside down I wanted to go to church and sing and dance then I wanted to live my life like this when I accepted Jesus as my lord and savior when I was about 8, because thats when I understood completely what he did for me, for you, FOR EVERYONE. That day was a sunny Sunday in the summer of 2006 when all of the class was dancing, singing, and praising the lord until the teacher asked us to sit down because the lesson was about to start. The lesson was about how Jesus died on the cross for us and then, we watched a part of the movie “The Passion of Christ”. We saw him get beaten with a whip that had thorns that would tear his clean flesh off. You could see the pain through his facial expressions his eyes crushed closed with agony. My teacher said that it was worse than how we were seeing it in the movie. She also brought in a visual of the crown that they put on him that had thorns the went through this skull. Then the end was the best part because he resurrected from the dead with a bright flashing to his face and she told us that he’s coming back because thats what he told his disciples.
Ever since that day I’ve been trying to live my life through his steps sometimes I do wonder off because I’m not perfect and I look at the stuff of the outside. Then the day came when I told myself that I wanted to get baptised. Me and my sisters all took this step together August 17, 2014. From there on we stood in front of everyone and showed them the act of obedience that we were doing for God. I went through the water then I came back and resurrected as a new person when I got baptised. This is what I want my legacy to give people love and tell them that someone loves them because he died for us. I want people to live great lives and be happy and grateful for what they have in front of them.
