Group Description: Religion/Culture/Teamwork
Our group is religion, culture and teamwork. This group isn't just about making people believe in a certain religion. It is about making people become part of a positive culture and have a positive mindset towards this beautiful world we live in. We want to leave a legacy that impacts people to become better and creates a happy culture, filled with teamwork.
Some people use a bible and a cross to represent what they believe in. They grow up believing in a certain religion that makes them realize what life is all about and it just makes them grateful for what they have. Olivia used a cross to represent her religious belief and daily routine because she uses her cross that is pray every night and day. Giselle used a bible to describe the way she is religious by reading the bible that is based on her religion. Believing in a specific something isn't just a religion its a way of living making a whole new culture of people.
Cultures make you connect with each other and can be based on historical backgrounds that have been passed on. For example Sasha used a cooking book to represent her cultural foods which is a way that impacts people because of the traditional foods that have been passed on by ambiguous family. Not only does coming together and eating makes people bond, but helping eachother cook can make you become close to people. Cooking is a daily routine in many households especially during the holidays. Some people become very passionate about cooking and use recipes and ingredients that have been passed on for years. Culture can also involve peoples hobbies, as in fashion or even shopping. Michelle used a fashion magazine to show that theres different religions that live by different rules and that the way they dress is one of them. Fashion is diverse between many people and its interesting to see how the way people dress can show a sneak peek of them and make them more comfortable. Steven brought in a picture of his living room because this is an artifact that can be used as culture since him and his family spend time in that room and bond. Culture doesn't have to be something that is already invented and passed on, but it can be something that impacts you and others around you who also feel the same way about something specific.
Between Culture and Religion, teamwork plays a big part in both. Karlene's artifact is a friendship bracelet that means a lot to her because it was given by a male friend and she wears it all the time, which explains their friendship. Bridgette used a soccer ball that she has for a long time that has made her become a great soccer player and every time she see’s her ball, she thinks of her soccer team. James and Brian like playing video games so they used that to represent their artifact because you need teamwork in order to play. If a group of people isn’t passionate about the same thing that those who are in a religion or culture are passionate about, the nothing would get accomplished or even start.
